Re: [www.keralites.net] SUPPORT TO FIGHT AGAINST CORRUPTION--PASS THIS TO ALL YOUR FRIENDS AND FOE

We all want the Lokpal Bill to be passed desperately but sitting home how can it be supported.. all has to walk though the streets and gather somewhere... Exchanging the message may not even move politicians...

Someone among of us has to find out the way the LOKPAL BILL to be implemented.....

Dear All,

LOKPAL BILL IS VERY VERY VITAL TO START A CHECK AGAINST CORRUPTION EFFECTIVELY.  IN MY OPINION, THE BILL SHOULD BE PASSED IN WHATEVER FORM IT IS POSSIBLE.  SIMULTANEOUSLY, WE SHOULD SUPPORT ANNA AND HIS TEAM TO FORM AN ORGANISATION AND ENCOURAGE LIKE MINDED ORGANISATIONS SO THAT IN A LITTLE LONG RUN WE MAY START GETTING THE DESIRED RESULT.  WE CANNOT EAT ROCK ATONCE.  WE HAVE TO TAKE OUR TIME.  CONTINUE TO SUPPORT WHATEVER WAY POSSIBLE TO MAKE THIS MOVEMENT BIGGER, BIGGER AND BIGGER.

REGARDS,

PRABHAKARAN V

human beings are naturally corrupt but some do it very carefully and will not be public.  these days every one who reach to power try to make money and enjoy it.  that is natural.  great writer Oscar Wild wrote : Morality is lack of opportunity, this is applicable in both cases - wealth and life.  people become immoral when they get a chance. the same way if they get a chance to make money, they become corrupt.  we can not escape.  our great leader whom we worshiped as the young India's prime minister also did corruption when he got a chance and he was in power.

I think Mr. Austin Clement is scared of being branded as another koteeswaran and being sujected to harrassement as they have done to Baba Ramdev. With the same culprit kodeeswaran our Govt. super ministers of Finance, Home & Telecom has negotiated 2days back. He was given a red carpet reception at the airport by not less than 4 cabinet ministers of important portfolios and given the best of treatment one can expect from any government. Within 2 days he was declared a culprit and people like Mr. Austin Clement start supporting without any rhyme & reasoning. Very tragic state of affair.

Dear Mr Kiran,

You seem to be very concerned about the poor response from the group on Lokpal Bill. Please note that , I am sure, everyone in the group wants to root out corruption. But they are also aware that:-
India is a democratic country ( and is the largest in the world).
Even if , the Lokpal bill is accepted in the form demanded by Anna Hazare , it has to go through the parliament and passed by it.
After passing it ,a number of laws will have to be enacted and amended. Only then ,it can be brought into force. This is a long and time-taking process .Because it has to go thru a democratic system and procedures.
Even if Hazare dies of fasting, this cannot be achieved. Mr. Hazares intentions are good to only a point of creating awareness amongst people. But the opposition parties are taking undue advantage of this, and destabilise the Govnmt who are taking action against the current culprit-polititians. Another 'Koteeswaran' Swami is trying to gain undue popularity, which is counter productive to the movement of Anna Hazare.
A number of laws are already in existence against corruption . But do you think all past corrupt officials and ministers have been dealt with by these laws? This will happen to a New Lokpal bill also, if made in a hurry.
Therefore, implementation and enforcement of law is another big issue.

Answer lies in improving the quality of democracy ( if we want democracy to continue.). That is by using judicious use of voting power. Are we still not electing known culprits and criminals as MPs and MLAs. The society has to value honesty and integrity as prime virtues. When people are ready to bribe to get things done for themselves, corruption and ill gotten money will thrive.

In brief , in Democracy people will get a government that they deserve.
It should start from each individual that one stop bribing, discourage every one else from bribing. Fight against it when one experiences it. At the least be bold and report to Vigilance / anti corruption cells.
There are still honest officials and politians in the System, hence there is hope for Democracy. You do your bit. Everything else will follow.

Best regards, KTA

Dear Friends,

Kindly visit http://www.lokpalbillconsultation.org/ and post your comments there.
That will create a better impact than posting it (comments) in our Group.

Sad to note that only two out of thousands (65,232 members) in the group are interested in this vital issue. Visit http://www.lokpalbillconsultation.org/comments-specific.php and see what Indians wants.

Kindly join hands to save this country.

Thanks and with regards,
